Requested move
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was no consensus to support move. JPG-GR (talk) 01:50, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Jamie Clarke (footballer) → Jamie Clarke — Jamie Clarke was, until the other day, the location of a minor characters in the soap Neighbours, whilst the sole real life Jamie Clarke was located at this present page. I felt the real Clarke should be located at Jamie Clarke, whilst the character should be moved. I did the second part, moving him to Jamie Clarke (Neighbours character), but now request that the footballer be moved to its, to my mind, rightful location. Survey
[edit]- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with
*'''Support'''
or*'''Oppose'''
, then sign your comment with~~~~
. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
- Oppose as there are multiple Jamie Clarke articles. Jonathunder (talk) 12:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not adverse to the disam page (which I see has now been created). However, of the Jamie Clarkes other than this one on the page there's: a fictional character, a senator called James Clarke who the (rather crude) Google test suggests was never referred to as Jamie, and a non-notable headteacher of a school. I'd remove the latter two, which brings you back to my argument. HornetMike (talk) 16:23, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
